This week in Reading and Writing Workshop…
I am so proud of the hard work the students have been doing on their Research Projects! We are almost done with our research. It has taken us a little longer to complete this project, but it’s okay because they are coming out FANTASTIC!
This week in Math…
We will be working on Making 10. This can be a hard skill for kids. We will practice with manipulatives and ten frames. This skill can be extended when we think about numbers that make 100. These mental math strategies will help students solve problems and give them a “shortcut” to their thinking.
This week in Science . . .
We will discuss and observe the characteristics of living and nonliving things. We will then use these characteristics to sort and classify living and nonliving things.
This week will be full of fun and excitement!
